Throughout my academic journey at Buffalo State University, I have been deeply involved in research and app development within the field of Computer Information Systems. As a research assistant under Dr. Sarbani Banerjee, I played a key role in a project focused on solving the student parking issue at Buffalo State. I utilized Amazon Document DB to manage data and employed React Native and JavaScript to create an innovative parking assistance app, which I presented at prestigious conferences like SRCC and SURC. The app was designed to help students find available parking spots on campus and was a testament to my ability to merge technical knowledge with real-world solutions.
In addition to my research work, I co-authored a research paper titled Parking Palooza: Avoiding Campus Car-tastrophies, which was published in the Northeast Regional Honors Council journal. This paper delved into mobile app-based parking optimization strategies, using data-driven analysis to address common challenges faced by university students. The project also involved collaboration with faculty members across various disciplines, showcasing my interdisciplinary approach to research. I presented the findings at both academic workshops and research conferences, further cementing my dedication to improving campus infrastructure through technological innovation.
Beyond my academic achievements, I gained valuable experience in the marketing field through internships at companies such as T.K. Group of Industry and Green Board Wood and Fiber Mills LTD in Bangladesh. My work ranged from improving SEO strategies and crafting social media content to developing digital marketing campaigns. I also worked as a Customer Relations Assistant Intern at Khan Jahan Ali Corporation, where I remotely handled customer inquiries, accounting issues, and service concerns, showcasing my adaptability and communication skills.
My leadership and extracurricular activities have also played a significant role in my personal development. I served as a Campus Ambassador for Buffalo States Admissions Office, facilitated campus tours, and helped incoming students during orientation. Additionally, I held positions as a Student Senator for the United Student Government, a Building Assistant, and Event Management Associate, where I was responsible for organizing events and managing student engagement. As co-founder and CEO of Dhongg, a small business, I led efforts in business development, product design, and social media management, demonstrating my entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills.
